Forgiveness

This drawing isn't complete yet either (obviously). This, too, will stay in my scraps until the drawing is ready. Again, not much of a writer, so bear with me please. XD

Electra was hurt, and none of the other trolls, nor her tamer or keeper, could get her to talk. She grieved in silence and sought out solitude. She was really worrying Jennidash and Tuli, and after three days Shazzy had had enough. She didn't get along the greatest with Electra, but she loved her tamer and keeper and would try to get Electra out of this mood for their sakes if for nothing else. Flying out to the tree Electra had climbed to try and avoid the others, Shazzy decided she would confront her.

"You're being incredibly selfish, you know that?" Shazzy said sternly. "We understand that you're grieving right now, but choosing to seclude yourself and not iterate what your problem is to keeper Tuli at the very least is making them worry for reasons that could very simply be avoided if you would communicate. They could help you through this if you would just let them in, you know. Plus all of your sulking is very unattractive."

Shazzy was surprised when the last statement at the very least didn't elicit any response. Shazzy thought an appeal to her vanity would do something, but Electra didn't even show any sign of having heard anything she said. So she was really surprised that as she turned to leave that she heard Electra speak.

"Shazzy, what species of troll looks like a skull with a black misty body?" Electra asked somberly, knowing the bird would know the answer.

The question confused Shazzy, but she answered it all the same.

"That sounds like a Cruel Impersonating Sneak-Wraith. According to my studies, they are a species of troll that are extremely proficient at appearing to be someone else. Even with a novice Sneak-Wraith, their ability to impersonate anyone are so great that it would be very hard for even the most discerning mind to notice the difference. Sneak-Wraiths have been known to stalk the subject of their impersonation for months sometimes to insure that they've perfected their ability to become that individual; though as a Wraith becomes more skilled the time they require to stalk an individual to successfully impersonate them with perfection is lessened."

Shazzy continued to blather on about what she knew about these trolls she called a Sneak-Wraith, but Electra tuned it out; she had heard everything she needed to. If what Shazzy said about the troll she saw that day was true- and if Electra had learned anything it was to trust the information Shazzy provides- then that means that perhaps Serverus DIDN'T know that it wasn't her he was with whenever that impostor came around. It didn't seem like it could have been possible for someone so attuned to noticing all the small details, but when put up against a troll that is evidently that skilled at becoming someone else, then perhaps it is possible.

Electra allowed herself to feel renewed hope for Serverus and the sudden burning desire to see him- to hear his side of the story that until now she was convinced she already knew- made her quickly jump from the tree to find her tamer, the sudden action startling the crested know-no bird from the rambling speech she had been giving. Jennidash was surprised to see Electra looking so lively after she had been so depressed lately, and she found herself completely unable to protest the demand Electra had desperately made to be driven out to see Serverus. With a quick arrangement with Tuli to take care of the rest of the trolls, the black suburban was once again making it’s way to the city where Kyon resides.

Once more Electra watched as every mile passed, impatient to see Server again, hopeful that her new suspicion about him not knowing to be true, ready to return to her love and heal the rift this incident has caused to their relationship. Electra couldn't help but feel guilty as well about thinking that Server would cheat on her. Now, Electra wasn't the clingy jealous type, and she could understand if Server mated with another troll because his tamer wished it- heck, she had done that herself out of respect for her tamer- but she still expected to be the only one her mate would mate with because that was what HE wanted. Electra knew he hadn't been asked to mate with someone else; they had discussed this possibility before and they had agreed that they would tell each other if it ever happened, so that he was with anyone else at all made Electra jump to conclusions that he was cheating. Sure, she had her own reasons for thinking that having not known about Sneak-Wraiths before, but that her faith in him was so easily broken that she didn't even consider any other possibility made her feel very guilty. Electra could only hope that, should her new suspicion prove true, Server could forgive her for not trusting him as she should have.
